I am trying to open an Autocad 2000 file in Cad View and get the following drawing:

viewer4.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close

then the program closes!! any ideas why?

Thanks for sending the drawing. The problem was caused by a software bug when XREFS cache is 'on'. A workaround is to turn the Xrefs cache off (in Edit | Preferences). However a new software update (CAD Viewer 4.5 A.11) fixes the problem. It is at our download page. Follow the download links from the CAD Viewer main page:
