I have a whole block of 3D buildings stored in a multipatch shape in a geodatabase in Arc and I would like to create a dxf to bring into VNS or AutoCAD as building objects. The attributes of the layer are:
OBJECTID
Shape
MINHEIGHT
MAXHEIGHT
code
Model
STRU_ID
Any advice is welcome,
Aloha

Hi,
First, extract the multipatch shapefiles from the geodatabase.
Arcv2CAD translates Multipatch shapefiles to 3D Lines and/or 3D Faces. There is no need to use the MINHEIGHT and MAXHEIGHT attributes in the creation of 3D objects as would be required if the shapefile was a 2D shapefile. The selection as to the type of output entity (or entities) is made in the Arcv2CAD 'Colors' selection dialog.
You can optionally choose to transport the Attributes (MINHEIGHT, MAXHEIGHT, OBJECT ID, etc.) as information attached to each object in the Arcv2CAD 'Feature Attributes' dialog.
That's basically it.
best regards,
