Hi,
I would like to rotate the text items (labels) depending on a field of the original shape file.
Is there a way to resolve this task?
Thanks for any reply,
Joseph

Hi Joseph,
It can be done for Points shapefiles only (at least in the current version.)
- select 'Text Labels'
- in the 'Text Labels' dialog, check the item at the top of the dialog 'This is a Labels Theme'
- you will be presented with a different set of controls, one of which is 'Angle'
best regards,

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your answer.
If I see it right (in the Help) for using this feature you need to have either the "Label Theme Manager" or the "LabelMan 2". Unfortunately I don't have any of them, and buying-learning-trying seems to be too difficult and time-consuming (for me).
I think I will try to follow an other way : before converting I will create a temporary line-type shapefile, and export the points to very short lines (e.g. 0.01 mm). The angle of these lines will be the value of the fitting field-value of the point file. In the end I will export only the labels, and I noticed that the labels of the lines are correctly rotated texts after exporting.
However thank you for the reply,
Joseph
