I recently downloaded a trial version, with the understanding of only a certain number of trials. When I started the program for the first time, it told me that "The Trial Evaluation has expired" and "The software will continue to work for small shapefiles (less than 32k)". Tis was the first time I had attempted to try it, and now I cannot. Can you tell me if there is something wrong, or what is the purpose of the Trial if I am not able to utilize it to the full extent for the certain time period??

Thanks.

Hi,

There are a few known circumstances where the trial may expire maybe before you get a chance to trial it. (Not to say that any of the following necessarily apply in your case, but just for record.)

- the computer date/time is set back between between runs
- the computer date is years in advance of the real date
- a previous version of the software was previously installed on the computer (e.g. say up to 1 year ago.)
- the software is installed on a Windows 95 computer which has had many other software trial versions installed.

In case the there are other causes for the trial to expire prematurely that we don't know about can you please let us know the Windows operating system that you are using?

Otherwise please download a slightly older version of the software here which has a different expiry key and will hopefully give you a fresh trial period.
