View Full Version : Creating blocks as insertion points
Hi,
can you add the option of creaing the blocks as insertion point in poygons and polylines?
It will fit the need of many users and enable an easier method of updating mechanizm to many Autocad users.
Many applications work that way like hatch creating according to an Autocad sub rutine etc.
Can you specify during thr block creation which attribute will be visiable?
Thanks,
Dani

Hi Dani,
can you add the option of creaing the blocks as insertion point in poygons and polylines?I am not clear on exactly what you mean by the above, can you give some more detail, or an example?
We are certainly always open to ideas for improving the software, so we welcome your suggestions.
Can you specify during thr block creation which attribute will be visiable?Which Attributes to translate can be selected in the Feature Attributes dialog. Attributes can be selected to be visible or not visible in the 'Attribute Properties' dialog. (However if you mean for individual Attributes to be visible or not, that is not supported.)
best regards

Hi,
I'm intrested in a solution that will build the DWG shape with an inserted block as an insertion point on a polyline or polygon instead of having each object presented as a block.
The 5 version can do it in a simple polygon but not in a polygonz.
I'm interested in a similar solution for polylines simple and polylinez.
Thanks,
Dani

Hi,
Yes, the software can do it already for Polygon and Polyline shapefile types. I.e. select the option in the 'Feature Attributes | Attribute Properties' dialog:
'Output Attributes separately, attached to a point _INFO block'
The _INFO block option is not currently given for PolylineZ or PolygonZ shapefile types, we will add it. (We will post a notice to this thread when it is available.)
best regards
