Attribute Block Data

Hi, Having downloaded the trial version I am trying to extract the relevant attribute data contained in the blocks within each polyline into the lin.dbf using Excel. I have the ID number down column A and the attribute headers along row 1 but no actual data, can you help, Thanks

Thanks for sending the sample drawing.

The settings in CAD2Shape that will get you the data that you need are:

Shapefile type = Point
Entities to Translate = Block Insertion Point
Attributes = From Attribs, and select the Attribs you need.

In theory, the same result should have also been able to be obtained using the method that you used, i.e. Shapefile type = Polyline, etc. It seems that some work in CAD2Shape needs to be done on that front... we are investigating, and will post a further reply to this thread when it is resolved.
