Dear all,

the Global check for islands for polylines in the latest version 3A26 is not giving out any correct result when comparing with previous version 3A10. In 3A10, the global island check misses some areas in the drawing and caused some area get filled even it should be exlcuded but overall, it still get about 80-85% accuracy. Please kindly take a look into the Global island check issue and hopefully, we can achieve 100% accuracy soon.

On the side note, I import the dwg into Adobe Illustrator and find that their exclude area algorithm has 100% accuracy when excluding overlapping area in the drawing. Unfortunately, it can't proper export back to dwg afterward.

Thank you for your time.

Hi,

There are a couple of recently added options that may be affecting the outcome of 'global check for islands'. They are:

- Ignore Hatch boundaries
- Ignore Dashed Linestyle boundaries

I would suggest experimenting with having the above options on/off to see if it is causing the different result that you are getting.

If it is possible for you to send a drawing or even just a part of the drawing that shows the problem it would be a help.

best regards,
Software Support

Dear support,

thank you for your response. I have written an email which includes a couples of images related to the problem that we are facing in regards to the the Global Island Detection algorithm.

We have tried the latest build 3A28 and play around with the two 'ignore' options in the entity menu but still having problem. Thanks.
