I re-built a PC with XP Pro and installed CAD Viewer as Administrator. I logged in as myself, thereby creating a new profile. I then customised that profile for a number of applications. Then I copied that profile to Default Users, and logged onto the domain as someone new.
Trouble is, whilst Cad Viewer works fine for me with my profile, for anyone new, who's profile is initially created from the Default User, when I double click on the Cad Viewer icon, I get the main window appear, but then i get a small window with "Cad Viewer Terminating" in it.

Any clues why

Unfortunately, this problem has reappeared on 3 new PCs I have just purchased and installed CadViewer on to.
Obviously they are WinXP Pro with latest updates, and CadViewer 5.
Tried my previous solution without success

Hi,

Any clues whyThis error at startup indicates that the software cannot write to the user's Application Data folder. For CAD Viewer 5 the folder in question is

%APPDATA%\GuthCAD\CV5.0

To locate and check or change the permissions on the folder, use 'My Computer'. Paste "%APPDATA%\GuthCAD" into the 'Address' control, and then right click on the CV5.0 folder. Select 'Properties' and 'Security' and set permissions for the folder to allow Full Control. Basically a user should be able to read and write to their own personal Application Data folders.

Let me know how you go with it.

Thanks
