Hi,
We have an issue where Cad Viewer interprets the relay contact as a letter instead of the open closed contact symbol ACADE displays.
Is there a way round this?
I have attached a jpg showing the problem, I cannot attach a dwg as the file is too large.
Cadviewer 5.0 A47 (Downloaded 6.0 trial but it does the same)
Regards
David

Hi David,
Are you able to email the .SHX file that defines the relay contact? To find out which .SHX file defines the relay contact:
1. In autoCAD right click on a relay contact and select 'Properties' to get the shape name.
2. enter 'shape' at the command line, followed by '?', followed by '*' to get a list of the available shapes and the name(s) of the .SHX files in which they are defined.
Thanks,

Hi David,
To resolve the issue in CAD Viewer 5:
1. Save the attached ACADEREF.SYM to your CAD Viewer 5 installation folder (normally c:\program files\cadviewer5)
2. Edit DXF.INI (found in the CAD Viewer 5 installation folder) using a plain text editor such as Notepad. Add the entry 'ACADEREF=ACADEREF' to the sections [MapSymbolsIn] and [MapFontsIn]. Thus:
[MapSymbolsIn]
ACADEREF=ACADEREF
...
[MapFontsIn]
ACADEREF=ACADEREF
...
To resolve the issue in CAD Viewer 6:
Just download and install CAD Viewer 6.0 A.12 or above which will be available at the CAD Viewer download page (http://www.guthcad.com/dlviewer.htm) at the end of this week.

Hi,
OH NO IT DOESN'T - 'Panto Mode Off'
As we are upgrading to V6 I downloaded V6 A14 it doesn't interpret the relay contacts correctly.
A15 anyone?
Cheers

Hi,
Thanks for reporting the problem.
re.
'Panto Mode Off'Actually 'TrueType Mode On' is our best bet as to the likely cause of the problem, and consequently 'TrueType Mode Off' a solution/workaround.
Alternatively the permanent fix is to add the following line in the [TrueTypeMappings] section of TTF.INI.
[TrueTypeMappings]
ACADEREF=
We will put the above change in the next software update in a few days (6.0 A.15 or above).
If the above does not fix it, then we would need to get hold of an example drawing to see the exact problem that you are experiencing.
Thanks,

I have sent a dwg file direct to support - to large to attach here
TT Mode on or off had no effect with TTF.ini change or without.
I look forward to your fix.
