/S installation switch doesn't work in Vista SP1

When the Cadviewer6.exe installer is launched with the /S switch the installation bombs out. when i try the same thing in Windows 2000 it works fine. Installshield 8.6 also seems unable to compile a captured version of this software under Vista so I am at a loss how to proceed with silent deployment.

Any assistance you can provide is much appreciated.

Hi Neil,

We tested installations today under Vista, both with and without Service Pack 1, using the /S switch (silent installation.) Both installations went ok. So we don't really have an answer to the crash that you are getting. Are you running the latest installer, vwsetup6a27.exe (CAD Viewer 6.0 A.27)? Does the non-silent installation work?

Thanks a million for the prompt response, The manual install works fine, and I am using CAD Viewer 6.0 A.27. It's weird that the silent install works fine on your Vista boxes. I will try again on a different vista box just to satisfy my curiosity. however I eventually got a successfull capture out of installsheild so i will propably continue with that solution.
