I am new at working with CAD Viewer and have not been able to find the answers to a few questions. I am working with a land survey. How do I measure the area(in square feet) of a parcel? Can I place diamension lines on the drawing?
Thanks for your help

Hi Aurous,
Sorry, the news is not so good.
> How do I measure the area (in square feet) of a parcel?
CV currently only displays an area value in a couple of instances.
(1) when inquiring on a defined CAD surface (e.g. a color filled polygon.).
(2) when inquiring on a point to point distance, or a line en***y. In this case the 'area' is the imaginary rectangle with minimum and maximum X,Y coordinate values given by the 2 points, or the end-points of a line.
Also the displayed area value is in the defined units for the drawing. So if your parcels fit either of the above 2 instances, and the drawing units is feet, then the inquiry will display the result you need, otherwise not.
> Can I place diamension lines on the drawing?
Sorry, no. Not in the current software. This may get added in a version towards the end of the year.
