I'm new at this and attempting to get annotation to display. I converted a shapefile to DXF and then imported into ArcMap. The annotation layer is displayed in the TOC but doesn't show up in the map. Also, when viewing the available fonts under the properties, there is no pull down list, hence, no fonts available. Is there an alternate way to create annotation? We are attempting to give alternative formats of our data to the public. Thanks

Hi Julia,
It sounds like the annotation did not actually get created.
The method to create the annotation is to check 'Text Labels' in the main Arcv2CAD window and then select the field in the 'Text Labels' dialog window from which the labels will be derived.
Maybe is it possible for you to email me a sample shapefile? It might make it easier to explain the exact steps for creating the annotation that you want. (If so, please send .SHP + .SHX + .DBF files.)
Alternatively the steps are explained in the Arcv2CAD Help topic:
Conversion Settings | Text Labels
thanks,
