View Full Version : Converted .plt files requires further conversion

Hi,

I have tried the .plt conversion and is good. However, I realised that after the conversion, the data is in cad format. But it is difficult to manage as they represent line and dashes or dot.

Is there any other tools to help to convert into more intelligent data, e.g. gridline, block, etc.

Thanks,

Seb

Hi Seb,

At some stage we may have a go at adding the capability to HGPL2CAD for it to create more intelligent data items as you say by converting things like a series of dashes into a single CAD dashed line.

Note however that the HPGL format does support dashed and dotted linetypes. If HPGL2CAD encounters these in the plot file then there is no problem, it will convert it directly to a CAD dashed line. It is only in the case where the dashed linetype has not been output in the plot file as a dashed linetype, but instead has been output as a series of individual small line segments, that the problem arises.
