Coordinates problem !!

hello.
i've used a trial version of cad2shp and converted a DWG file to SHP format.
but i dont know what happens for coordinates?
Lat/lon are not available.
does converted format keep the coordinates?
or there is something requierd me to do?

it is very urgent .
please help me to solve the problem.

Hi,

There are basically 2 options. CAD2Shape will either:

(1) use the coordinate values exactly as are specified in the CAD file.

or

(2) Do a conversion on the coordinates in the CAD file from UTM WGS84/NAD83 projected coordinates to Lat/Long coordinates.

Option (2) is selected in the CAD2Shape 'Settings' dialog, from the 'Projection' drop down list.

In case there is a UCS (User Coordinate System) in effect in the CAD file, there is also a further option in the 'Settings' dialog to take this into account, 'Output in UCS coordinates'.
