When converting a shapefile to cad rather than writing out a clean cad file, I receive a file that more resembles a TIN than a drawing containing property lines (see attached graphic file). Interestingly enough, when I choose not to bring over attributes from the shapefile, the file converts normally. The attributes for this particular file, however, are necessary and must be converted. Any thoughts on what is happening with this file would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Tyrus |

Hi Tyrus,
Probably need some more info, or an example, or the actual files. (Did not see an attachment, please let us know if you had trouble with it.) You can also send files via a 'private message' (click on 'GuthCAD Software Support' above, and select 'Send Private Message to ..' from the menu.) PS - check that you are not translating Polygon shapefiles via AutoCAD Rel 12m which may cause a TIN like effect depending on the software that receives it (since AutoCAD Rel 12 requires polygon surfaces to be triangulated.) Thanks, Software Support |
