Optimization

PDF-XChange offers a page of optimization settings which allow you to access extended file optimisation settings.

Blending is used when the printing application (eg.. AutoCAD® ) outputs the required drawing and draws

lines, rectangles, etc. using a specific Windows GDI raster operation to 'emulate' the blending of colors from the

drawn object and the background. (i.e.. in AutoCAD when the 'Lines Merge' option is enabled)

Some applications like. AutoCAD split complex figures (rectangles, polygons, etc.) into triangles during printing

(this method is commonly used for 3D modeling). The De-tessellation option allows PDF-XChange to analyze the

drawing applications output and (if appropriate) restore the original figure. This allows PDF-XChange to make

a smaller PDF file, and also optimise viewing speeds for the viewing application in use.
