pdf2cad 9.0
Convert PDF files into editable CAD drawings
New release - pdf2cad 9.0
Extracts CAD Drawings in Seconds!
pdf2cad™ 9.0 converts engineering drawings saved as
vector
PDF files into DXF or DWG files that you can open and edit in AutoCAD™ and other popular engineering programs. pdf2cad also generates HPGL which is a popular CAD archival format.
pdf2cad is ideal for converting CAD drawings, floor-plans, network
diagrams and organization charts. It extracts editable CAD entities,
layers, objects and text from any computer-generated PDF file while
images from scanned PDF files are placed on a non-editble tracing layer.
Features

See an Example
Below is an example of a CAD drawing received as a scalable, vector PDF file (left). The second example (right) is of the drawing once it was converted with pdf2cad and regenerated as a DXF file. This standard CAD interchange format can be opened in most engineering programs. Once opened in AutoCAD, it will be saved by the user as a native DWG file. Click on the images below to examine the conversion quality. All text and objects are scalable and editable.

Do You have Scanned CAD drawings?
Did you know that there are two types of PDF files and that they need to be prepared differently for conversion? click here to learn more on the topic of raster and vector PDF.
pdf2cad is the best choice if you have PDF files created in engineering or office applications (vector PDF files). It accurately extracts all CAD entities, objects and text for you to edit. Scanned drawings require a different conversion approach. For these raster PDF files, you'll need a "raster to vector" solution (read more). After examination, many of our customers find that they need both types of tools.
You can also view tips to determine whether you have a vector or raster PDF file. The simplest way is to open the PDF file up in Acrobat Reader and click on the drawing. If it is highlighted in blue, it is raster. If nothing happens, it is a vector PDF and will convert successfully with pdf2cad.
