Technical questions specifically related to usage of the dwgConvert DLL may be posted to the Developer DLLs support forum. General questions about dwgConvert should be posted to the dwgConvert forum. Visit the forum also to search for an answer to your own question that may have already been addressed on the forum.

We encourage users to post questions directly to the support forum in preference to requesting support via email. The support forum is regularly monitored by us and you will get an answer just as quickly as sending an email. The advantage of posting to the forum is that other users will also be able to benefit by seeing the question and answer.

Getting the latest software version

We are updating the software on a regular basis. All updates are free to registered users who purchased the software within the last 12 months. Simply go the download page and download the latest software. (If there has been a major upgrade since your last download you may also need to request a new keycode.)

If your registration is outside of the 12 month free upgrade period you may be required to purchase an upgrade license in order to get the latest software.

If you have discovered a software error, it is always recommended to download the latest version of the software prior to reporting the bug, since chances are it has already been fixed.

The complete dwgConvert user manual is included in the download software. Open the Help file via Start | All Programs | dwgConvert | dwgConvert User Guide.

Report a Software Error

Please send as much detail as possible about the problem being experienced.

- include the exact version of the software, i.e. as displayed in the user interface dwgConvert 'About' dialog, or as reported by the function call vers_dwgconvert.

- write down as much detail as possible about the error, e.g. especially the settings used for the translation.

- if a bug is demonstrated by, or only occurs with a particular CAD file, then it should be sent if at all possible.
